you play drums vs rip off other drum tracks..to make your so called pieces to gain pseudo music creation

Forum stuff has always had me take step back, as the rip off of the FOUNDATION for their production has occurred ..

drums,,ludwig in my house,,does even anyone drum??
its simple..hit the kit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



 
My point is,,how do you judge "lifted' tracks vs those that make em from scratch in a RM competition?
 
Yep. Not ashamed. I’m not a drummer. Never have been. Can’t do it. I can’t even figure out how to take a drum app and program it to do the drumming for me.

Same for keyboards.

If I’m gonna have either on anything I record, I have to use something like a backing track. Which I did on the Jessie’s girl I just did for the last challenge. Track for the drums and keys. I did bass and guitar parts.

And since I’m just doing it for fun…. I figure it’s okay.

so,,how do you vote if someone makes a song from drums up vs this pseudo stuff goin on? where does the effort really happen?
 
if a riffmaster is fair.. its what YOU got..not 1 thing of someone else..right? or is it the "club"

In theory the rest of the song is played by the poster. I guess one can simply not vote for something that is lifted? I have no choice if I want drums, none at all.
Very few of us are drummers with kits. So that would limit the input to about 4 members

I spose real drums is more work, for sure.
Even still, my last effort used prerecorded drums. I still had to add click on the front and have a separate track with the whole song to play to. I had 2 acoustic and 3 electric parts plus bass and 2 vox, how ever bad they were. To me, it seems like most of the work would come feom the rest even if I did play drums.
 
But….if you don’t play drums….? What’s wrong with rippin from a backing drum track? I mean, to save time programming…I could spend weeks programming drums…for what?… an entry in a game? Same goes for people that just play guitar…don’t sing, play bass, play drums…what are they supposed to do?
When I judge, I judge, and vote accordingly. Did they play their part? If so, power to them. Did they play a few/all the parts? Kudos! They’ll rank higher IMO. Vote accordingly.

cool my friend..its why i dont play the forum games..how do you compare ..,,no offense,, those that can make it from scratch vs copy..i am in no mans land..like always...i respect all of you massively,, so you said judge...whom does a simple copy of what already been done vs a totally ground up compare...

I dislike judging art to begin with. Much of it is for fun and separate from voting.
 
Can we have a play what F you play thread where we all win??? I respect anybody that records and posts it ! the rip,off plagiarism backing track stuff not so much
 
What drums can do in the background, that you don't realize,the organic open sound,,even if drums are recorded in the LR . Everyone so focused n guitar .its only 25% of it.. & respect a proper bass player..ya go live in a band you will know..guitar 25% then the rest..



 
My question if song is made with drums lifted rhythm backing track lifted..how the hell does that even rank vs someone who makes a track from ground up,playing every single instrument & even writing lyrics & singing them..,,popularity contest BS vs artist inspiration
