Yet Another Axe Upgrade and Reno: The :poo:ty Strat Conversion

In one of the recent postings, Cadorman and Yargnad discussed the virtues (and lack thereof) of :poo:ty Strats. And as it happens, I had just started working today on renewing and upgrading the :poo: out of one of my :poo:ty "Strats". And here I go again on my own... Now my goal is to transform a :poo:ty GK guitar (my fellow canucks will immediately know the brand and quality I'm talking about) into a playable (and quite decent) Stratocaster-ish guitar.

I am upgrading it from this:

Into this:

Of course, all the hardware, too.

And since the original neck is warped / twisted, I need to acquire a really decent-quality neck, 22 frets, 25.5" scale, not too fussy about radius. Only request (just to eliminate the risk of it getting stuck at the border because of the current endangered wood species law) is preferably NOT a rosewood fretboard. I guess maple or other would be safe enough.

So, if any one of you fine folks has (or knows of) one such neck and is willing to part with it, I'd be delighted to get it off your hands for a decent price. I'd trust you guys for good honest quality over any store real or online, any day of the week. Just let me know thru here or PM, so that we can start the haggling. Where is eSGEe when you need him?

I believe I have a all maple neck we used in a music video. We lashed a wick to the back to create a Flaming effect, which resulted in some surface discoloration, but no damage...

Let me see what box I have it in...
