WTRF?

Who made the Punisher basses?
The Punisher bass is made by CORT, and designed by Gene Simmons.
CORT manufactures in South Korea, China and Indonesia.
Probably makes guitars for 10 different labels including Jackson, and who knows what else....
(they all come from the same factory, but with different brand name badges stuck on)

Cort reminds me of Teisco Del Rey, another very cheesy primitive electric guitar.
But nothing beats the cheese factor of the great Fonduweenie.

The thing about solid maple guitars (like the Grabber and the L6-S etc) they sound dead.
No sustain, no overtones, lifeless, dead sounding. The tone is like talking into a pillow.
I can't stand it.
Maple is a horrible choice for a guitar body.
Should have used particle board, probably would have sounded better. :pound-hand:

I don't know whatever possessed Gibson to make solid maple body guitars with maple necks.
Probably one of the worst decisions possible.

Well that BIG LONG maple neck holds tune on my G3 bass better than any of the flimsy little Mahogany ones ones on the SG's ........

but -- I guess thats not important -- only what the woods made of is..

In case you havent played bass........ THUD --- is a good thing -- however the G3 has a great ring-- sustains for days --and is borderline "bright" for a bass ....maybe mine is alder body not maple -- not sure-- I am sure its a great bass for 40+ years of age.

Per Cort guitars--- if they stopped tomorrow-- there would be WAY less guitars on the planet.....
Squire
Fender Acoustics
Parkwood
G&L Tribute
Ibanez
Jackson
BC Rich
Schecter
Music Man S*U*B basses
ChapmanGuitars
Solar guitars
Dean (I believe Cort is their oversease supplier)
AND MANY MANY MANY OTHERS

Cort is THE NUMBER 1 largest Volume Guitar manufacturer on the planet last I heard--- So while folks WAVE THE FLAG of their "beloved preferred" brand.....ods are it began life as a lump of wood in a Cort factory -- mathematically speaking
