if--- I had the option of a Les Paul Custom modern beauty or my Tiger .............would I make the trade------????
probably because I could FLIP the Lester buy ANOTHER TIGER and still have enough left to buy 16 other "low end guitars"

I am also blessed to live in a ride 12 months outta the year state----so....its not really a FAIR comparo--if I could only ride 5 months outt the year (realistically) -- Id go LESTER 100% -- no doubt

Sadly, Norton has just gone out of business, so you should be able to pick up some big discounts on the last few models - don't put down a deposit and wait because they are not coming! What's on the showroom floor is all that's left, so haggle the price down and get a pretty cool bike.
So many bikes are cool, but my favourite style by far is the Cafe Racer.
The most miles I've done is on one of these (lived in Thailand for 10 years, and they are easy to get around on, and easy to die on too...):

I don't know if any of you are familiar with the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, IA, but that is home for me. When dad retired he worked at the museum part time. I got to see some pretty cool antique Nortons etc. that he would pick up on loan for the displays.

When I was 16, my parents moved house, a few kms away from my school, so they bought me a Honda express to get to school - the fun me and my friends had... My school went from 11 years old to 18 years old, and there was one 18 year old kid who was such a wanker, money coming out of his ears and a really bad attitude. He had a new BMW which was quite a thing back in those days. One day, we waited until lunchtime and built a ramp up to the back of his car then when he came out to his car, posing with his friends and little school floosies, I drove up the ramp onto his boot, then roof, then bonnet and wheelied off (I was always a crap rider, so quite a shock that I didn't fall off and make a fool of meself...) - the look on his face was priceless, and because he was such a mouthy wanker to the teachers, they all looked the other way (so to speak). Another time, me and me mate, dressed up in biker leathers and flash helmets (borrowed from his older brother) and went to a pub which had loads of bikers. We spent an hour or so chatting up a couple of biker chicks, making stories about our super cool bike (although we never mentioned any details...), we convinced them to come out for a ride, walked past a dozen or so big bikes then we both jumped on my 50cc Honda Melody and beckoned the girls on...
They were shocked and ran back inside, but it was hilarious. Had a lot of fun on that little machine which couldn't even make it up steep hills; I often had to get off and walk it up...
