The worst guitar tone:
Roland JC120 Jazz Chorus amp with distortion knob turned up.
It does have great clean tone with stereo chorus, but just turn the distortion knob on, and it's the worst sounding amp I ever heard.
I call it: "Puke-O-Matic."

The guy sitting down is Alexander Dumble, who basically plays the riff from 'Just Got Paid' and doesn't sound too bad actually.
The Kaiser guy is a hack, and is simply demonstrating how terrible a Dumble amp is capable of sounding.

You know the worst thing about Henry Kaiser? He is the epitome of "Quality of gear does not translate to tone". Look at his amp and his rack. At the time of this video, Dumble amps weren't as expensive as they were today but still incredibly pricey. Compound that with his rack and you easily had the cost of a smaller 3 bedroom house at that time.
For those that don't recognize the name? He is the grandson of Henry J Kaiser, the powerful business magnate who ran Kaiser Steel and founded KaiserPermanente. So he grew up extremely wealthy. By his own admission, he has millions of dollars invested in equipment and THIS is what he chooses to do with it.
To put that in perspective: imagine having a Bugatti Chiron and then letting your 16 year old kid, drive it around your small town and hitting every pothole he can.
The guy is a phenomenal person in general and actually has been Oscar nominated for a documentary and won a Grammy believe it or not based around his other career as a diver in Antarctica. But that still doesn't change the fact he's just awful on the guitar lol

Yes...but he did still manage to make a Dumble sound terrible (maybe worse than a JC120 with the gain dimed).
Part of playing well is having some sense of how to use an effect to make music instead of noise.
And there in one sentence is where I fail miserably.

What you are hearing is:
a pitch to voltage converter, as in guitar synthesizer.
The tracking of the synth is mis-tracking.
