It gives me the impression of being cheap. The hokie snake-oil sales gimmick is so over the top, it comes off cheap and insincere.
I went back and watched the rest of it. As soon as the announcer said “comes with hard shell case” I thought “oh no, that thing is over $1800”
I had to search it online.

Some of the music in this commercial video (especially around 2:53) sounds similar to the theme music in the last Dirty Harry movie, "The Dead Pool."
