For those of you that do not already know, I work in the electronic/digital security business. I've been getting inundated with calls from apartment managers/HOA associations needing to remove access from the tenants gaining entry to pool areas, gym, community rooms. This is all due to COVID-19. Grocery store employees and me have lots of work on our hands while other industries and temporarily closing and/or restricting hours of operation.

My grandson came by our home last week. After he was in the door, in close range for over 20 minutes, he told us he had a sore throat. ARGH!!! This morning he called Mrs Wav and told us he was real sick. He wanted her to drive him to the doctor and us to pay for the Dr visit as he was temporarily laid off from Starbucks. Hmmm, he has lots of close contact with public, store is closed due to COVID-19, breaths in a tight closed area with Mrs Wav and I who are both over 60 and diabetic. I'm praying he does not have the virus. He is young a strong, should survive if he is infected. Our chances are not as good. Fingers crossed and working for as long as I can, hoping not to get sick.

I work behind a parts counter. Working from home is not an option. So..... as long as the govt. doesn’t officially close down all businesses, I’ll be going to work. Married to a teacher. Schools have already been closed for at least three weeks in Illinois. No one knows for sure beyond that. Her district has a sort of plan that allows her to still work with students from home. However, being a special ed teacher her students need help that doesn’t always translate thru a web page or email. Gonna be interesting for all teachers over the next several weeks.

My attitude is this is going to ultimately be a major pain in the arse.... but we cannot have what is happening in Italy and other countries happen here. If this all helps, I’m good with it.

@66 I'm afraid to leave the house so I stay in one of the music rooms! But the bride is 11 yrs younger and refuses to go back to work in the ER which on Friday was a complete Zoo, packed like a concert everyone coughing and hacking. So far 3 ER employees refused to go back to work as to not infecting their families. All The supervisor said to everyone is that he completely understands! But now she won't be able to pay her charge cards
