I have an incredible opportunity to come out of retirement and take a job that would be so much fun, I’d almost do it for free… but the pay is great, too! The job is Production Lead for a group radio stations… writing and recording radio commercials, my absolute favorite activity. I’m perfectly suited for the job, with exactly the right experience, and while they were expecting to relocate someone, I live five minutes from their studios. I’m super stoked! I passed the screening with flying colors, and have an interview scheduled for next Friday morning. This would be the only job I would cancel my retirement for. So, wish me luck!

Naw, man, I miss guiding clients and coming up with a cool creative solution, getting feedback, collaboration… I miss work. I’m kinda losing interest in making my own music… after 30 years of working almost daily on one project or another, I’m getting so I’m repeating myself these days, so it’s less fun. But I still love radio… Nichols & May, War of the Worlds, Bob & Ray, Firesign Theatre. This would feel like being 25 years old again.
