Just catching up. I thought of you and your wife when I saw the morning news at 5. Worked today and then drove up to Lake Arrowhead. Glad you guys are safe and no damage. Dang 18 was closed again as it was last weekend with the other fire. I am going to look into that spray on fire retardant stuff. For the Anaheim Hills home I bought a 6hp pump (to use from the 20,000 gallon pool) and 200 ft of fire hose to snuff out embers if they got close. I only had to setup it up once.

we have our 4 seasons out here, sun, fire, mudslides and earthquakes.

Number one thing - IMHO - is having a non-combustible roof. The houses with the wood shingles, which i see often on the Mountain, spell trouble.
