Why is switching Reverb such a big deal??

I don't like spring reverb, so never really use it unless I have not taken my pedalboard for some reason. I have an analog delay and digital reverb in the loop and can get all the subtle ambience I need without the squishness and loose low end of a spring tank.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of spring reverb, either. I don't like the metallic character it adds to a sound. I'd much rather run a decent reverb pedal in the loop.

My 3210’ have a spring reverb.. I never use it on those amps at all.
I just don’t like the sound they add to the tone.

My Dsl40c’s have a very weak reverb, and they are on all the time , but most certainly at a very low level , between 2-3.
But with the DSL’s you can barely tell they are on. For a lead boost I change channels with the footswitch, and the channel I choose is set higher on the volume. than what I normally play with .
So I do get your point .
