Why ES 335 type guitar is Number 1 for me. Cite me your number 1's

Definitely a Steve Marriott fan and also Alvin Lee

I like that guys guitar playing. Now that I think of it, I played similar to it when I was younger. An artist/cartoonist drew a picture of me playing guitar once and my fingers were a blur with smoke coming off the fret board. He gave it too me. Somewhere thru out the years I lost it. Ya, I can't play like that no more. Blast from the past memory, man ;)

My number one guitars are Gibson SGs and Les Pauls. The reasons are many, but I guess the most important ones can be found in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. The trio of Eric Clapton (Les Paul), Peter Green (Les Paul) and Mick Taylor (SG), on the "Beano", "Hard Road" and " Crusade" records respectively, probably did more for my interest in tone than any other players.

The Gibson Scale Length and the fat 1950's Neck Profiles...I can tolerate just about any body shape....although some are more comfortable.

I've always loved punk and angst-y music, aswellas rock 'n roll, so the SG does it for me.

(Not saying that a LP junior or meaty Telecaster couldn't too.)

Like these guys, Betty? ES 175, Tele, ES 335 type Bass,,,,,,,,,,, Much to like for me in the London Calling cut.

Theres a Guitar Player in RUSH?????? well what do you know.....so that is what that OTHER guy is doing in the pics......
