I tested The Clspton signature Stratocaster at extreme low levels on the Clean channel against my Motmal Stratocsster. The Clspton signature Stratocaster has way to much output to be played on the distorted Channel.
With The Clapton signature Stratocaster I immidiately went to the roof of the amp with 120 decibel. I then tried my normal Stratocaster and I had to struggle to get it to 20 decibels. That means the Clapton signature Stratocaster is 100 decibels or more than my normal Stratocaster. That means the Clapton signature Stratocaster is more than 1000 times louder than a normal Stratocaster. The Clapton signature Stratocaster has an output of at least 15 000 volt. 100 Db boost on the normal Stratocasters 150 mv pick ups means it has 15 000 volt output. Its not a problem at all for the active cuircuit it uses the most effective Voltage boost system there is : Transistor voltage boost which easily could give the guitar 100 000 volt output if needed. And I have seen all cascaded discrete op amp toplogies and other transistors and all collectors and resistors, so that this is how it is is logical I just Wonder why Clapton wanted suck an extreme guitar, easily the most powerful guitar in the world. Is it not enough to turn the amp off or is it some kind of sound he is after ? i noticed off course that it did not sound in any say like a Stratocaster, and it cant. The incredible boost clllurs the sound and the Dtacked Humbuckers Vintage Noicelees makes it completely impossible to sound like a real Stratocaster as Physics does not allow Humbuckers ( whether normal or stacked) to sound like single coils.
