Why are the Crowd Bored/Asleep?

Its New YORK........in the middle of the day.........
muggings -- drug overdoses -- mob hits-- drive buys -- over crowding .... and the fact MANY "youths" are probably in the crowd wonder "who are these old peopleonthe roof??"
-- that looks "excited" for a live crowd....to me (which also was probably "Random" -- as in unadvertisied -- "raw" if you will just people going about their day and OH music.......hey that is the old Beattle guy.........cool
they are clapping........and Happy--- no one shot at him..........
