Do not do this search on the gearpage. Pages of useless info.
Aside from obvious. Nothing is perfect.
I am concerned about current construction and more about the actual wood.
Especially the fretboard.

2023 Standards

I’ve just taken ownership of a new 2023 Standard 60’s Iced Tea. I am totally gobsmacked at the build quality. It is the 5th Les Paul and the 6th Gibson that I have owned including a Traditional, True Historic, Don Felder replica and a 2013 Standard. This one knocks them all out of the park...

My friend Joe got a new 1960 Les Paul Standard I played it a few hours it's good
but it did not have the harmonics and sustain my 21 year old Custom Shop Les Paul RO 1960 Standard does
it may improve in the future

Well yeah, relatively the price would be quite different. A lot has changed in 21 years. Especially American manufacturing.
I wish my dollars from 2023 would buy what it would in 2012.

Yeah, I preferred the 50's style neck shape better. However, I am not really a Les Paul guy, and I am actually thankful as they is SPENDY!

Robert/ Inspector #20 and gball have both purchased recent LP's. Maybe not 2023, but 2021-2022's I believe, and both of these guys are very happy with the instruments they got.

I really like my Les Pauls. They are all a bit different from one another. In the order I got them. All new except the 76. 2016 Sunburst Classic. Zebra open coils, pearloid tuners, 60s neck, plain top. 2016 Goldtop Standard. Nickle hardware, coil taps, phase and direct bypass out, 60s neck...

There are plenty out there. I found a 2020 for $1800

Normally just shy of $3000
But they can be had for $400 to $500 less.
Quite a bit less for a 2020. I have always been a fan of used and older is better but the new ones are looking pretty good.

Back in the Baked Maple fretboard days, I really liked this one Blonde/Natural Classic Custom. It was about $1850 back then.

I would so buy this guitar today if I could.
