Who else here digs Resonators?

IMG_3004.JPG I played a resonator for many years, fingers and slide. My first one I wore out, really! I am on my second one. A Fender that I had about two years now is fun and relaxing. I put a Lace Sensor on it and that pick up doesn't miss one single junk yard rattle I kick out of it.

OK guys, I may be asking the dumbest question ever, or maybe it is just because I saw something about Open C tuning and or a Tenor guitar. But my question is, what is normal tuning for resonator playing? Also basically any other info you want to pass along, Thanks.

That weird C tuning I use on my steel electric laptop

Resonator I go with open G, D and E the C 6 tuning is the main turning for lap guitars. They even make special strings for Lap guitars so you can achieve C6 turning.

Not sure there is a standard tuning for a resonator. Pretty much any open chord you can think of will do. I use an open D.
