Great thread, now I have some new bands to Google up.
Speaking of white bread. I was visiting mom on Monday at nursing home. In the lobby was this black young lady with an Iron Maiden tote bag.
Not at all, Live... by the way, you didn't happen to watch that tv commercial about the IKEA lamp abandoned in the street under the pouring rain?Is it weird that I feel for that little orphaned mic.
Totally loved their first album. Here is another of my favorite Metal Bands.
I think she was a lady visiting her relative in the nursing home.I think there is a major '80s thing going on with the kids now. Ask her who Nicko McBrian is.![]()
How about Clive Burr?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think there is a major '80s thing going on with the kids now. Ask her who Nicko McBrian is.![]()
What do you think of Gene Hogan?2 of my other favorite drummers other than Clive are Nicko and Tommy Aldridge who both played for Pat Travers, and of course Tommy's work with Black Oak Arkansas, Pat Travers Band, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, Ted Nugent, Thin Lizzy, Vinnie Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen.
Nicko and Steve Harris ripping it up good on this one.
Yeah he is. I've been a huge fan of him since I first heard Dark Angel on Metal Massacre. When I first moved to Hollywood way back when, I went to gp see some band (I can't remember who) and I was standing in line to get in for like 30 minutes. There was long haired metalheads everywhere, so I didn't really pay attention to the guy in front of me til we made it to the door and one of the kids working the club was like "You're Gene Hoglan!!" and started fanboying all over him. As we made it inside he and I chatted for a minute, told him I knew Ron and on our way we went. Super chill guy.Gene is definitely a monster drummer, Iron1
Seen them at a battle of the bands in Long Beach before they got a record deal, they were great, I pinched a riff from them on the outro of my song called Defective. Here is another of my favorite Metal Bands.
