^ not ugly, obviously, a wrong choice of words on my part, a very nice and clean design (your white SG Special is gorgeous), just clearly different. I'm also not against changing the lightening to a completely different system if it doesn't work - my natural first point of call is a Gotoh/TonePros but that bridge you showed is a better bridge so... The short maestro seems to stop some (a lot) of the angled pressure on the bridge, and the chunkier wraparound lightening bar seems to flex a lot less than an ABR1 on a standard, so the actually needs of the bridge on a Special if you string the vibrola are less than many SG Specials without vibrolas and standards with vibrolas (which seem to need very smooth saddle movement) - I could be talking rubbish here, often do...
Anyways, what do you think about a DTs Maestro tailpiece or an ebony block? The short vibrola just looks unfinished to me, and this guitar is just a 2019 in a different colour, so it's not as if I need to worry about complete authenticity.
