Which Strat & Why?

I have a 2001 American Deluxe.

When it comes to American Strats, between the Standard (Professional), the Deluxe and the Vintage it's more of a matter of taste than quality levels. You just gotta find the one that suits you best.

My favorites so far have been an 02' Floyd Deluxe & a MIA Lone Star surf green metallic. Also my favorite Fender neck is the satin Highway 1.

Our band played a party last night 5026 people checked in, guitars used 1953 Fender Esquire tuned open G, 1965 SG Standard and the 1961 Stratocaster
Doug recorded it and if I didn't know. I would be hard pressed to tell the difference from the Stratocaster and the SG. The only thing the two guitars have in common is
Brazilian Rosewood finger boards and Ernie Ball regular slinky 10-46.

Two weeks ago Doug demanded we play jam night the host band the guitarist was playing one of the new Gibson true historic 1959 Les Paul Standards I must admit
he could play circles around me but the guitar sounded like A$$ $9,000.00 garbage you would think with today's technology Gibson or Fender could produce a great guitar
you All can call me a cork sniffer in the middle of our set a Japanese tourist handed me $1200.00 and told me my guitar sound made his day.
Now were booked through the rest of the year. Just to add most of my guitars are 100% stock unmodified.
