Is the 496R in your Les Paul stock? I would have guessed it came with a 490R.

+1 on the Guitarmadness, and the GFS pickups I have used I like; a Tele fat alnico bridge and a Mean 90 (HB sized) I got used.

+1 on the Duncan Designed I have them stock in my HSS Dinky, the bridge is the JB one.
I like it a lot.
I recently swapped that to my Yamaha Pacifica that is going up for sale and I put the Seymour Duncan Custom TB-5 in the Jackson.
The DD sounds great in the Pacifica too. I figured I keep the SD.

Yes. The 2016 50's Tribute had the 498T/496R combination. Great pickups. My ONLY complaint on this guitar is the lack of adequate shielding from the factory.
 
No Rob, I am very happy with the pickups that came with the guitars I have. Like seeing and hearing from the guys on their choices.

I have the Duncan Designed HB102. It is the licensed version modeled after the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB bridge humbucker pickup.
Standard 2 bobbin humbucker; not single coil sized.
But in this case, it is an F-spaced Trembucker
The SD humbucker I have in the Jackson now is the TB-5 Custom, also F-spaced.
Damn I wish I was home playing right now!
 
Any of youse guys heard of or tried Curtis Novak pups? I saw them at NAMM and did some homework. People seem to think highly of them. I’m thinking of using a set of their HBs in an upcoming project.
