Gonna play cliff Klaven here ind inform you that Chevrolet had a Marketing disaster with the Chevy Nova in Spanish-speaking countries... Nova literally means "doesn't go" in espanol ... so possibly a hopeful name for a dog that escapes! My vote...

Blinky,

If my history with dog names goes with how my 2 dogs I have had the past 28 years, they each had multiple names.

My Black Huskie mutt was Shadow, but he also answered to Buddy Boy, Knucklehead, Hey You, and Rascal.

My current 14 yr old Red Nose Pit bull is Spike, but she answers to Red Dog, Buh Bike, Bikers, Sweety Pie, Baby...

LOL a few times while I was in the presence of women ( one a customer, one a worker at Home Depot or similar) I caught myself saying, " Go Baby" which was meaning for them to proceed in front of me as I followed them to our next destination. Habit of talking to Spike got me making that Freudian Slip.

My apologies, were equally as awkward. I said, " sorry, I get used to saying that to my DOG" HAHA

Blinky,

I didn't give much thought to naming our feral cats that adopted our crawlspace and garden/yard.
When I captured the mother and took her in 3 days early for spaying, the County lady asked if I had names. I called her Brownie.
Then told the lady the names are easy, all color names. Brownie, Orangie, Blackie and Blackie ( Little Blackie and Big Blackie) since the big one was bigger and meaner than the little fella.

She responds, " We will have to call them Lil B and Big B, since Blackie is racist"
Since she was doing me the favor ( albeit with our tax dollars) to take me in early that day and then 3 days later on Friday for the other 3, I did not blurt out my immediate thought.

" Oh Brother, it is just a color"

@mcblink, We won't cancel you. Facts are facts and our daily lives are affected in positive and negative ways. My hopes for our communities and each citizen is love, safety, health, financial stability, and of course law and order and improvements in quality of life for as many as possible in a win win scenario instead of any worsening of a win at the losses of others such as Putin n Ukraine, Korea, etc of all other atrocities and potential of danger to the world as a whole. There is no political agenda in my statements, but rather a brotherhood of man, golden rule philosophy that is the best medicine for any inequalities as far as I can see.
