Which one of you...

My moms family immigrated from Sweden back early 1900s. Her mom was born in the states making my grandma a first generation American. Returning your fuzzface would give me a good excuse to look up some of my Swedish relatives.
That happened to me a few years ago. 5 unknown American relatives phoned up my brother. They were in town to find some roots. We had a blast for several days.

The reverse of that happened with us. A few of our Swedish cousins made the trip to the US and paid a visit to my mom and her two cousins. Was kind of cool. Mom was pretty funny. Cousins spoke perfect English, but for some reason my mom found it necessary to speak slowly and loudly. But that was my mom. Still miss her and it’s been 20 years.

It's funny that every American co-worker who I have gone to Germany with, does the same exact thing. Or, they just talk loudly. Even though everyone speaks better English than them.

Time for an upgrade?
