Which kinda strap for my Gibson SG?

So, you've all met my newest brown sugar Nashville girl...

But all my straps are Fender logo or tweed.

So, how should I dress to take her out?

Consider that she barely neckdives.

i like all the choices you gave so its hard to pick one but my own favorite strap i got is a Leveys black suade leather strap i got from eSGEe here a year ago or so.its fairly wide,built really well .

My vote goes for one that stretches exactly from one button to the other via your shoulders. After that, who cares? It's just how you stop the thing falling on the floor.

And if it is to be a vote, make sure you include ALL options, not just a few that may be what you like.

I voted for the average-width leather. I tend to prefer a strap that does not detract from the guitar.

But, to me, it's a bit of a comparison game. I think the more showy the guitar, the more showy the strap can be.

Your SG, while attractive, is not a very flamboyant guitar. So, a really decorative strap may detract from it.

Just my opinion.

I have two wide soft leather straps, one in taupe and one dark brown. If I know I'm going to be on stage for a long set, they are the ones I use.

I use this Gibson strap on all my guitars. Works really well unless you want the guitar to hang really low.

Just ordered the Monterey by Planet Waves... Looks cool and the color matches the brown guitar and my usual plain black tees...

I prefer 2" cotton Levy's. Comfy, strong, doesn't slip around, well made, and inexpensive. The Franklin version is quality, too.
I like the plastic hardware on these. Might save a few scratches over metal.
