I scrapped the Firebird idea in favor of something hollow- or semi hollow with P90's. I'm about to flip a strat and one out means one in. So, what dou you think, an Epiphone Casino Worn or a Guild Starfire I Jet 90? The Epi is completely hollow and costs about $200 less. The Guild is semi hollow and comes with three P90's.

I'm expecting a lot of different, well founded and throughly motivated opinionsP:lol:

I would recommend a semi-hollow. The reason is that they have a solid center block so are more resistant to feedback at higher volumes.

Also, the more rigid construction makes them a little less susceptible to tuning drift.

I’ve owned semi-hollow guitars and like them very much.

Having said that, I would not turn down a good hollow-body! But, I’d have to be aware that it’s construction would impose some limitations on its usefulness in some situations.
 
To play loud or quiet?
Killer tones from the epi but I've heard bad things about their feedback.
Love my semi hollows, I have a Gretsch 2622 with p90s and it's one of my faves and cheap as chips, and omg!!! So so light!
It certainly relegated my other semi hollow down the chain
