Which guitar do you pick up first after you've been away?

This thread keeps making me grab different guitars. I guess I cannot decide, but you fellas sure have some nice suggestions!

Ray, don't you go playing em too loud now. I'd hate to hear momma all the way down here in Md, imploring you to turn it down due to it being too...TWANGY!!!!!

Usually this Chinese SquierWP_20170730_002.jpg as it is often left on a stand (or dragged around with me). All others are kept in cases. For what it is it plays surprisingly nicely & has a nice low action. I did have an A5 JB'ish type pickup in it but recently was given an EMG H4 to try in it. Cheers

Weas, this soooo reminds me of the PRS Santana 3 I used to have in Black/Gray tiger stripe.
Yours is a real beauty, bro.

I like one pickup guitars. It makes you focus on the music as there's nothing to fiddle with on the guitar.

I bet this 1 pup guitar is routed for 2 or 3 and 3 pots and a switch but has been modded for only 1.

Bocc, I wanted a cousin to your LP classic. I tried out a sweet Natural finished Classic Custom a few years back. It was under 2k too instead of the OVER 2k of their other LP's. Sadly, it was still too pricey for me to buy.

Nice Lester there Bocc69

Thanks JohnnyGoo!
When I assembled it, I had never even played an LP. (Ya, I do stuff like that). The heel took me by surprise, and I was worried I wouldn't adapt. Well heck, that's a memory in the past. I really love it now, just needed to put some hours in.
And, strangely, I'm getting used to the 57's, although that romance won't last. I just can't seem to pull the trigger on a new set. Been debating for months. It's a good problem.

Yup, it all came down to price for me too. But I wanted to get an LP, so after months of research, I got the husk, did the assembly, and for well under 2k , I was a happy LP picker.

Cool, Bocc,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I got me a EPI LP then put an additional about 1 1/3 x more $$$ into it than it cost new.
Now it is soooo Awesome........ T tops and a Bone nut and pro setup will so this.

If I really wanted a different upgrade, I could reinstall the stock pickups and get it back down to around a $500 Epi and put the T Tops into another Gibbo LP or other project guitar like you did.

Chilli, sounds like you have a player, for a good price. Bone nut is a great addition. ....that's been my only add on to my SG, and It made a huge improvement. Best thing about pickups is you can always switch back. Sweet!
