Aint she purty? Yes, I know it's not a Harley. It's a Kawasaki Vulcan VN900. When I bought it (for a steal, I might add!) she was in very sad shape... Scratches all over her, the front fender cut back (as shown in the last picture) and glue and poop all over the paintwork. Also, a crappy set of slip on mufflers that didn't erm... muffle, and exhaust wrap (that was originally white, and krylon'd in black) over the header pipes!
Most of the chrome work had been krylon'd in matte black and looked
e!!! Many hours of polishing and rubbing with lacquer thinners has finally paid off, and shown off the beautiful chrome underneath.
I put the trunk and toolbag on, have replaced the exhaust, put on a set of 10" mini ape hangers, a HD Road King front fender, and a hand carved leather tank bib, hand made by a good friend of mine who is a member of the Ojibwe nation from Wisconsin, as well as some general tidying up and maintenance to get her to "almost" fantastic condition.
