Oh, it IS GOOD, believe me. You should try it. Actually, I can think of throwing chopped maraschinos also. A take on black forest cake flavors.

And a quick tip: any nuts you wanna put in the bread (regardless of whather you use or not choc chips), roast / toast 'em before chopping and THEN, fold them in the batter prior to baking the loaf. That will improve the flavor and texture like you have no idea.
