OK, you can have two, and one honorable mention that you sold and kicking yourself for! Here are my top two.

1. 1976 limited edition Explorer.

2. 50's something (it's refinished so may times I don't know the year.) Les Paul Jr.

3. The one that got away, 1954 Les Paul Custom.

in a word -----ALL OF THEM -----
\
I have flipped myself into a corner.....lol ....sold the ones that didnt speak to me ... leveraged to get and keep the ones that do....and now --- I am running out of Flippers........and space...

Nice choices. The pole pieces on the '54 LP neck pup look unusual. What type pf pup is it?

The original customs had a "staple" P-90 style single coil in the neck position. They have a really different sound from the regular P-90. Awesome pickups.

Wihout a doubt, it's my custom Von Herndon Doubleneck:

Next would be my 2016 Gibson SG:

My 1984 Ibanez Destroyer - stolen in 1988 - was a great guitar. Wayne Charvel put a Floyd on it for me in 1987.

I finally had WMI in Korea build me an exact replica with a Floyd Rose last year. It's the most asked for guitar by my music students.

Lastly, I could not mention these without mentioning my 1987 squire Stratocaster - bought for me by bandmates in 1988. Over the years it has been routed for triple humbuckers and it's had dozens of different pickup configurations. It was my main guitar from 1988 until 2005. It belongs to my 9 year old son, Quinten now, but I do still play it occasionally.

The strap in the photo - I made this in 1980 from a piece of leather bought from a saddle shop in my hometown. It works on all my Strat-Shaped-Guitars, inlcluding my Ibanez bass.

You can see the same strap in this 1984 image of me with my 1959 Danelectro/Silvertone U-1

My favorite, is also my least played. It's rare for me to toss it over my shoulder., but it's king. It is my only guitar with sentimental value, and that's priceless.

My 1983 Fender Stratocaster

I never thought my SG would be dethroned, but it has been. My absolute favorite, is the last one acquired. My 2017 Les Paul Classic. I friggen love this thing. I had to get used to the heft and access to the upper frets, but man this guitar rips!!!

It's the only guitar I play every day

SO -- gball-- what are (other than OBVIOUSLY the Grabber G3 lol) the best and funkiest finds during the (horrible ) Norlin era Gibson offerings????

I leaned to play on a Les Paul, so I never even noticed it for many years. I still find LP's the most comfortable to play, they just feel like "home"

No doubt! When I pick up my Mom's 1979 LPC, I can hardly play it past the 15th fret!!!!

I really like the V2 ad E2. The Victory MVX is awesome. The S1's with Lawrence pickups kick butt. The Sonex is actually a very cool, unusual sounding guitar. L6S's are nice but really heavy. And of course the Artist RD is one of the coolest guitars of all time.

Interesting you mention the Sonex.......been looking at those with the "Resonwood" .......

Id fancy a go at one of those........the Marauder seems interesting as well. The Victory bass is cool--- but essentially a copy of my Peavey T-20.....just shaped different ...so ---redundant.... :)

The Sonex however peaks my interest as it seems the Norlin era answer to the current offerings like the M2 and the Firebird Zero ---oddly manufactured and sold to the similar price point --the Standard SONEX was 379 in 1980----- damn close to the price of current Zeros and M2.s ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,all these years later.............
