What's the best mod for a Marshall TSL 602?

Damn....the 602 didn't even have runaway bias problems....

Nice shoe rack though!

I actually didn't know anything about this amp so I did a surge and ended up over at the Marshall forum where I see a lot of you guys are participating also and @Jethro Rocker even helped the guy troubleshoot the bias on one of these many moons ago. Basically they determined that the published specifications were double what it should have been to actually sound good: 80mV per side vs 40 which sounds best according to the OP on that thread.

I dont claim to understand much about it beyond that, but that would actually be a good mod for these amps. Now you guys got me digging into amp threads, sumbich...so many rabbit holes!
The speakers choke that amp. TSLs sound really good IMO but those wolverine spkrs are like putting a blanket over the amp. The 60s did not have runaway bias issues, other than the shared EQ in 2 channels, the 60 would be an excellent presumably inexpensive find.

Also the Marshall branded Vintage 30s are hard to come by and perfect for Jubilee series.

not sure Ive read other forums that say the wolverines can HELP some amps come alive -- others say they are poo --
like everything else in musiclandia --- its dependent on the listener

but what do I know I run almost everything through a Peavey 12" Scheffield ..........which most people claim to HATE .....
