It's just like all my other Warmoth guitars, it's dark and muddy in the lows and I just don't care anymore. I'm done with Warmoth.
Fitz suggested active pickups, which might be worth a shot if you're into that sort of thing. Strange that this would occur more with Warmoth builds, have you tried backing the pickups away from the strings on the low side? I sort of concur that the 'value' of the guitar is going to be more if you can make it work for you than when selling it. That's the nature of DIY builds, of course. Maybe look for a swapsy?
