It's a new year, and with the calendar reset we all look forward to the year ahead. Being players of instruments you probably already have a quarterly gear budget plan on your spreadsheet organized by priority with price comparisons along with pros and cons for each piece of gear.
... or am I the only freak who does that?

So what's on your 2022 gear wish list? Share with the class!

Since I started the post, I'll go first.
in no particular order

I want to get completely Well-Hung this year. @TVvoodoo we will need to talk soon!
A couple pedals to add or replace the ones I'm not that thrilled with. Flanger, Chorus, EQ.
The Jackson Pro Series King V KVT which, thanks to GC, I'm still hunting for.
and low on the gear list to transform my computer room into a mini recording studio.

Oh, the possibilities! I think my GAS would be focused primarily on enriching the shop's tool and stock wealth: proper fretting and setup tools, files, a router, a drill press, soldering iron tips, electronic components, maybe a template or five, and if I can find someone willing within decent public transit distance, maybe try to talk my way into bartering an informal but well-informed "work-for-knowledge" luthier "apprenticeship". OH, and a strobe tuner!

I'm going to give a strat another try. I love the sound but I don't get along with playing them. My plan is to find a cheap Squier that feels good and mod it like crazy. Maybe if I make it mine it will stick around.

Can you tell me what you find lacking in your Stratocaster experiences???

They just don't feel right. The controls are in the wrong place. I keep hitting the middle pickup and the volume control. I could live with that but for some reason I don't feel comfortable playing a strat. When I'm playing the tone always feels too bright no matter what I do. When I listen back to what I played it sounds fine. The best strat I've owned was a MIJ Squier that I put some cheap GFS pickups in. I never should have let that one go. I plan to see if I can duplicate it.
