...if I told you I was looking for a better Creamback 65? Basically the same characteristics, but less fizzy and a little fatter sounding.

Please don't say G12H75, that's not it, I had one and sold it.

I'm just fishing. :coffee2:

WGS ET-65. I had one in my Fuchs amp and it was amazing. Smooth highs, fat lows. It’s on sale with free shipping right now, too.

I have one, actually I have 2, an 8ohm and a 16ohm. I like them, but they aren't broken in so they're harsh and I don't have any way to break them in at the low volumes I play. Maybe I need to find a way. We've talked about that before a while back.

If your playing at low volume why not use 15 watt speakers I have a pair of Celestion silver speakers in a 2 x 12 Vox cabinet that sound wonderful
and had good results with the gold speakers in Fender amps.
I have a pair of cream back 65's in a Marshall cabinet didn't care for them at first with my Trainwreck Express amp two yeas later they sound better.

What??? You don’t break your speakers by the EVH method??? :pound-hand:

Break in the 65 you have! Dial your pickups closer to the strings for a fatter sound, 1/16" gap when pressing strings on last fret.

oopps..just saw you love it now..

I concur on et65 or in my case...Celestion V-type. It is on every single recording i have done just about.

It is everything i like in a modern Celestion with a tad old school , not necessarily green back but a response like a green back with a very nice sit in the EQ range.

My freaky cab that somehow gets all the work is the V-type paired with a Crate branded celestion . It kills with marshall & absoluely brings a Fender into the mids much better & natural. Its semi open 2x12 but i made a back plate to use it closed when needed.
