Hmmmm.....though about a metal version of "Cool Kids" by Echosmith....

Possibly Bang a Gong (Get It On) by T.Rex

Maybe something from Def Leppard's 'Pyromania"

Thought about some Led Zeppelin....we recorded "The Ocean" two years ago and never put vocals on it....

Hmmm....Maybe "War Pigs?"

I could vote for Paranoid. Has always been one of my favorite Sabbath songs. That one takes me back to my HS days. Every garage band worth their salt played that one.
What I didn’t mention on Paranoid. I’m old enough that when those garage bands were playing it, it was actually just newly released. We’re talking 1970-72 range.

If You want to cover T.Rex, why not "Solid Gold and Easy Action"? And If You're on Glam Rock - Ballroom Blitz freom The Sweet :D
And musically a bit more serious: "Locomotive Breath" from a well knwon Just-the-opposite-of-Glam Group

And i'd guess those are covered not as often as Paranoid or Get it on.

We've been drinking coffee and listening to you tube videos for inspiration.

I like the Echosmith idea. But if not them, for the love of god, please make it something else recorded in the 21st Century and don’t regurgitate the same old crap we’ve all been listening to for 40 or 50 years.

How about a QOTSA song? That’s some epic, recent, Hard Rock with depth and soul.

Hmmm...Well, other than 5FDP, Ghost and Volbeat, I really don't listen to modern music. I suppose that fact that I make my living playing these old 'sonic relics' (and I love the 80's and everything about the era) that I just find myself unmoved by a lot of the modern stuff I hear.
