What the heck am I going to

Was the body wood: pine?
Did the wood still feel like wood?
Did it give the wood a certain degree of sheen or luster to it?
Was the sheen even throughout the whole body?

I ask because I'm in the middle of a project that involves applying a Tru-Oil finish over a 1x12 cabinet made of pine. I ran out of the Tru-Oil midway and need more of it to finish the cabinet. Since I live in Crazyfornia, Tru-Oil is verboten! But Tru-Oil's main ingredient is boiled linseed oil, but the rest of its ingredients is proprietary and classified info.

The sheen was very satin and even. The body was poplar.

Have you thought of Danish Oil??? It's available at all Home Cheapot's...

Thanks. I was wondering what might happen if I applied some Boiled Linseed Oil over the existing Tru-Oil.

Major rant coming:
Even though Tru-Oil cannot be technically sold in California, there are at least a couple of out of state vendors that are willing to send it to me. The only problem, and because I'm very impatient, the vendors are taking way too long in shipping this product. For example: Vendor-A... Ordered an 8 ounce bottle ($17 plus $12/shipping) on June 1. Contacted Vendor-A yesterday on WhereTF is it? Response: "We will be shipping your order Friday (June 11th) morning..." I guess it takes them 10 f'n days to grab a bottle, package it, and get it to USPS... :BH::BH::BH::BH::BH:

Sounds like Rockler. $27 for a router bit. $17 for shipping. Two weeks before it arrived via a UPS 20 mule team. Pony Express would have been too fast for their overpriced shipping fees. The packaging was also a joke.

Forgot about your Tele project. Here's to you getting back on track with this build...
Changing jobs again…just workplaces, not line of work. There’s a change-over phase I’m going through. My line is in demand, and the shop I’m leaving is dragging their feet in trying to find someone to fill my slot(he asked me to bump my “two weeks” notice to a month…..hahahaha….no thank you). The new shop is in serious condition, and the last person just walked on them…so…it’s four days here, a day or two there.
I’ll get going soon though, as I believe it’s almost over…I only have two days scheduled at the shop I’m leaving remaining. Then it’s back to a ”no nights or weekends“ gig.
