What new song or songs your working on

There ya go, man - lol. BOC came to the local arena when I was younger three times (over a period of time) and I went and seen them all three times. One time a news/magazine guy sat next to me and wanted to know why. It's like are you kidding me. BOC had an awesome live show and rocked with the best of them.

When I'm actually home, I'm trying to write some new stuff. I'm also trying to remember how to play all the Alice Cooper stuff I learned last year, just in case we get a gig. Then, I'm trying to tackle "The King Will Come" by Wishbone Ash. There are a couple others that I meddle with, but not seriously. I think if I learn a few different cover I'm not comfortable playing, it may help with some of my writer's block.

I just dont like my original stuff...

Yep... for me, the music keeps coming, but the lyrics do not. Seems like there’s nothing left to say sometimes.

I also have no problem with coming up with the arrangements. The problem is my agonizing over lyrics. My worst fear is coming off as a pompous arse. My best songs have always had funny lyrics, and been about absurd situations. Unfortunately, my brain is no longer in that fun word, and I keep trying to get it back in there.

I strive for a sense of depth...something that has an overt connotation, and a subtext...related or not. A story that needs to be told, and a lesson that needs to be learned. I do miss the days when things flowed so easily from the tip of a pen...if I had the musical skills that I’ve earned thus far, back then...I’d probably still be a nobody, but with more than twice the library of original material.

I pray that it will....

lately and badly
Victim of Changes

still stumbling through
Wicked Game
Into the Void
NIB

Kinda bummed lately about my lack of / minutely progressing skill progress.

I'm currently practicing 4 songs, as I'm gonna do a little set of 80s punk-thrash metal stuff with a few friends (we may wear dresses while doing so...). I wanna take the Marshall Origin out and turn the volume up to see how it sounds...

The songs are from: Babes in Toyland. Veruca Salt, The Distillers and Bikini Kill - power chord stuff that's so easy even I can play it...
