I think I need to make sure my homeowners insurance policy covers my gear...or take out an additional policy.

<<<<<<<<< Sure loves Smitty's collection, especially his pedal board. The guitars are pretty amazing too from my PERSONAL witness.

If guitars, basses, drums, repair tools, books, etc, I could guesstimate and make a list like Robert, but I also cannot state that the figure would be accurate due to all I owned for awhile then sold. It is the selling prices I could never be accurate on.

Having said that, I'd say in the $0-$5000 range

Oh, I completely forgot about books and magazines. And online courses. Now I definitely don’t want to think about it...

I have really downsized in all honesty. The big stack is gone and I am back to just three guitars....where I was for many years.

Drink more beer, Gahr
Hehe, to forget, you mean?:D

Nah, I’m pretty concientious when it comes to my alcohol consumption. You need to be in my industry. Too many people drink more than they should in the beer community. There is probably less alcoholism than you might expect, but the average age of the people in the craft beer business is fairly low, so there’s a lot of partying going on, especially among the guys involved in sales. I’m very aware of the potential dangers, so I drink a whole lot less than most people think.

I try to limit my guitar gear spending as well...

Gahr, Yeah I was kiddin. This is good news. Knowing the perils of alcohol and being able to keep things to a safe level, especially when in the industry; is a wise and healthy choice.
I was blessed to not have tolerance, stomach or taste for over alcohol, drugs, or smoking.

Life has too many positive experiences we can cherish when lived in sobriety and appreciation for the little things.

That's good you can control your drinking and not let it get out of hand. Some people can drink socially without getting blitzed. When I was drinking I'd probably put you to shame. I was drinking on average almost 120 ounces of rum a day or drinking FAXE beer which is 10% alc/vol. and I drank a lot of that also. It has been 40 weeks this past Friday now since I had a drop of alcohol and I feel good about it. But so far we're having some very hot weather where I live and I sometimes think about getting a few frosty cold ones but then I resist theh temptation because I know what the consequences are. I hope you don't fall into my category and still keep drinking responsibly. I guess you're old enough to know that already...keep on brewing Gahr.:yesway:

I'm afraid to even think about how much I've spent. More than some have spent, way less than a lot of members here have spent. Definitely more than I should have.
