I am late to the party and am sure I will ask other more the farther I readAnyway what Hagstrom...pics aren't working? I have had 2 Swede's. A Black one (my 1st LP style guitar) and a Blue Flame Select Swede. I upgraded the Black Swede to some GFS Dreams I think they were and actually really enjoyed that guitar so much I thought a Select Swede must be amaze balls. Well I was wrong. The Select had what I want to call a particle board inside with a mahogany veneer layer around the back side up to the maple cap. The regular Swede was a solid guitar.
It sounds like you you have some pretty nice guitars...I assume both Hagstroms? I found some pics on Google and this is what my Hagstrom looks exactly like...in black of course.
I'm going to make an Elvis Prestly treat call in a bucket. First get the wash bucket from the sink. Then put root beer in it to about the middle and now it is time to dump the mashed and left deer meat. Hot sauce to taste and salt, put enough salt to make a lick for that deer. Now green ice cream, any flavour but green is just for colour and weight. Get a big slice of ham for a garnish. I have this during the holidays for those special people that I don't want to see next year or ever again. My rat poison surprise is for those people that love all of junk I toss in a bucket and can't take a hint!

Speaking of Hagstrom guitars...

...in a bar called the imperial room on the southeast
corner of 101st avenue and 116th street.
It was a graduation party for a girl named Claire.
The drummers name was Paul.
The bass player was named Greg.
...and I don't remember what I had for breakfast today...

Elvis played a Hagstom also. Dawn's Mom has an original Hagstom Viking hanging on their wall as a decoration and it's killing meSpeaking of Hagstrom guitars...

Very nice, I wouldn't mind giving one of those Vikings a whirl. I don't have either Hag's anymore. I sold the black one to buy the blue Select and was disappointed in that so I sold it to & bought a LP P-90 Special which turned into my 1st SG Standard![]()
Posting in the what are you listening to thread now, if you haven't heard of them check them out. As I said I really liked the Swede I had. Hated the Select Swede. That band is where I 1st saw Hagstrom and did some research on them a few years ago when I bought my Swede and her Mom saw it & said she has a Hagstrom on her wall.If you ever give those Vikings a whirl I bet you won't be disappointed. It's the best bang for the buck if you're in the market for a semi-hollow body guitar. Here's a good video demonstrating the sounds of the Viking Deluxe.
