That's a Great looking guitar Kev!! I like the colours, you have done a Fantastic Job!! What Brand of pickups do you have there?

Hi my friend! I did some research on Jazzmaster pups. They are not P90s but a weird single coil. I read that the Squier pickups are great. I am not a Squier fan, but all I heard and read is correct.
I took the new Jazz caster to practice today. It is clear but when I step on the volume pedal it turns into a beast. They are very loud and perfect with a lump of gain. The Boss Blues Driver was never a big time pedal for me. Today it really put my home made guitar a killer.

I like everything you have done with this guitar, Its a keeper for sure , the clear knobs are cool. Nothing better than when you build something, it performs the way you would like it to.

Very nice work Mr. K.

Thank you gentleman very much for your kind words. I found out about these guitars is they are loaded with inherent problems. The bridge and that is the major drawback. There are fixes both expensive and the fair price. The Mastery Bridge holds the strings from popping out of the bridge.
That fix is around $360.00 and the guy selling this stupid thing wants to grab the cash before we realize the strings still jump but go back in place. The normal person puts a $17.00 Mustang bridge on it. Then plays with duct tape to hold it steady. I had planned on a roller bridge and doing something about the start of the strings to the bridge. I bought a "Buzz Stop" and that calms it down. The Jaguars have similar problems. It went for a ride today and I beat and bent the hell out it. I'll play it at rehearsals tomorrow night and over the working weekend. I got all the bugs out and if I was not so sick of it I would have spent time to engineer a better fix.

This is photos of the recommended Mustang Bridge that I messed with and put it instock, my junk draw. The Buzz Stop is going to be useful when I go to odd ball turnings. Probably a rubber band or a wire tie around the strings would buffer the bridge buzz that I don't have but I expect. That is why I always look up, I know a piano will fall on me if I don't.
These two items are products from our friends from China. We send old beer cans and soda cans and they make us stuff. I'm surprised this poop made the boat ride.IMG_7838.JPG
