Not everything is an investment. Sp8ctre has few extra bucks. As long as they are being played and enjoyed, why not? In the end, it is less important for our possessions to appreciate than to appreciate our journey in life (see what I did there!!)
 
All is that I can say is that I'm proud of my guitars. Especially my Jackson King V guitar which I had to sell my Yamaha bass guitar for. It's made in India and is a neck through the body maple neck w/ rosewood FB and a basswood body wings which is a great comination for tone.

I love the Floyd Rose vibrato unit on it which works very well. It has 24 jumbo frets on it with a compound radius FB from 12" to 16".

It's a tricky guitar to play but I play it holding it like a classical guitar. The upper fret access is awesome. I did not plan on buying a guitar that day but when I was in the pawn shop I had to have that guitar.

I did a cash and carry deal for $500 including the case. The pickups which are EMG 81 in the bridge (ceramic) and an EMG 85 Alnico V in the neck that are active pickups powered by a 9V battery sound pretty awesome. They are tight sounding pickups with bottom end that doesn't sound muddy at all.

I recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking for a killer axe. I got the best bang for the buck on this guitar because you can play any style on it and it delivers big time. You can fine some really nice JEMS at a pawn shop for sure.

My wife knows all about the guitars now...I quit hiding them and she understands they come and go. She can't figure out why I need so many, but at least she took an interest in the last one.
She thinks the Fender Cyclone is "a very nice guitar". I do think she has lost interest in learning to play though...the acoustic has not been touched in weeks...

I'm older for sure, but my Grandma just turned 93 this year and she still has all her faculties and can still drive. She chooses not to, but she can. Oh and she is a guitar player from WAY Back...so don't count me out of the will...

You are just a young fella Spectre. My mother was 83 when she passed away back in January of 2015. My father was 85 when be passed away back in November 2001. You must be 15 years old Spec...no?

Yes sir, 15 in my mind at most times...unfortunately the body has hit 57 and won't do the things my mind wants to.

Yea, you really hit that one on the head...my Mom had me just 2 months after she turned 17! Very bad girl for that time in history...but it was cool because at times she was like a big sister. She took me to all my first concerts starting when I was 12 with Johnny and Edgar Winter...
