No secret Micky Dee's has been forced to increase wages in the South Western U.S.
Recently it was announced, coming in January 2024. A new redesigned beef ?
So the increase in wage will do 2 things.
Increase cost and lead to a skeleton crew.

The prices suck but as long as we don't have to resort to some Soylent Green way of making food, i guess we're still

I don't eat fast food never have never will good way to get cancer yes clean food is expensive
McDonald's soak's the fry's in antifreeze to prevent freezer burn and human DNA in the meat no thanks
:BH: Yes, that was a response I calculated. I have no rebuttal. My soul and body are not clean from the food infrastructure created to vanish your mind and take your imortal existance. Demon monetary collectors.
I don't live on Gilligan's Island. Lol

I do not eat it. Go to my butcher 3 times a year & get all my meat how i want cut & eat eggs & real bread in morning. Fresh Salad every night at 5. & of course mucho cardio & some weights. I eat for fuel basically. Will get sweets on Sunday. protein bars in car in case can't get home between calls.

  1. Avocado Oil (Very healthy yet keeps the same great taste and crunchy texture) Good oils to fry with. Wendy's uses Canola which is a good oil.
  2. Peanut Oil (Great if you plan on reusing the oil)
  3. Safflower Oil
  4. Rice Bran Oil (Ideal is you are diabetic & need to lower your blood sugar)
  5. Canola Oil (Most Available & Affordable)
  6. Olive Oil – (Adds a fruity flavor)
  7. Beef Tallow (Adds a very subtle meaty flavor)

I’ve pretty much stopped with fast food with the exception of carry out Chinese and Mexican. Few weeks ago I did grab a burger at the Golden Arches to eat on the road on a day trip to WI. First time in years and probably last time for years. It just isn’t that good.

We keep canola oil, peanut oil and a couple different olive oils in the pantry. Have an Italian Olive oil and a Spanish Olive oil. They are different. I will use the peanut oil for frying due to its high smoke point. But then I sometimes add some saved bacon grease to it for flavor. Probably not healthy….. but sure adds flavor.

We eat organic and don't eat fast food. I do all the cooking so I know what we're eating.
We barely eat out anymore either….. well except for the before mentioned Chinese and occasional Mexican. Some Chinese is just hard to duplicate at home. Probably the MSG. Mexican we do okay on. Probably prefer home cooked. Just sometimes we’re in a hurry and a phone call is just easier.

Pizza. Can’t throw a rock without hitting a pizza joint in this part of Illinois and with the exception of one place…. They pretty much all suck. We make our own.

Once in awhile.
But not often. We would rather get take away from pizza or restaurant etc.
I agree but in this one horse town pizza is $30. Most of the restaurants suck except the steak house and a couple of Mexican and Chinese food places.
I would rather cook at home and we do, however the lady likes a break .
I run the smoker and the BBQ. Lol
Avocado oil and Grape seed oil are main cooking media for frying.
The post is more about what is in the news not what I eat. Lol Granted beer is likely just as bad for you as other stuff.
