I find the inspiration in the dif guitar & amps. Each one usually leads to a new song. Took me a bit but finally let go of the branding or type. learned to chase the the sheer joy & escape of having something that simply inspires. Today is Fender Duo sonic into jtm45 & Gibson Melody Maker into Super Reverb. Tomorrow..who knows..see what the job, lawyers or the news provokes in me to play or write about

Said no ..final answer no, to guitars after the SG Special P90 & then a SG with mini's & Melody make mysteriously showed up, all the sudden last week, snapped again. 2 V's & ML on the way..not even sure why..but the anticipation of what new music will happen keeps me motivated & always making music..never run out of ideas. Technically only need my SGJ & P Bass & Ampeg, Fender amp & Marshall amp..but the music would def funnel into a sameness after a period of time. But i think the guitars are finally done..have the pick up spread to handle all most anything. Amps are done except, my buddy keeps texting me his JCM 800. Probably should grab that one.

Weren't you in selling mode a while back? I thought you had your amp farm completed. Sometimes new gear anticipation is just too strong.

I don't make my own music like you do, so new gear never helps me make new music. This Les Paul does keep me wanting to play though.
Something about it just jelled with me. It just feels right every time I pick it up. Sounds great and so damn easy to play! Looks great too!

That is great when you find "the one" mine is the SGJ..

Did get my amps set..then sold off the unused guitars. Then went after exactly what i would need in the future. Was supposed have sold my company & retire & instead started another one & it took off. Talking with the Mrs..just getting it done & over with. The gear probably is what keeps my sanity... it is so hard to stay housebound..

So glad you have music to keep you sane! Your music helps the rest of us too!

I've been through many phases along my musical journey. I like my black garage-built Les Paul. I use it mainly for live performances. Its got the Epiphone H8BN/HB6N pickups and its just wild sounding.

My double neck is another great guitar. Last night, i wore it for our entire 4-1/2 hour rehearsal. Its just a wonderful - yet heavy - guitar. A very wide, full neck.

I got a cool Jackson San Dimas from Adrian. Its got a really wide, but very thin neck. The best part is, it stays in perfect tune.

But, if i had to name one guitar as the most versatile and best overall, it would be my Schecter C1-FR. Absolutely the best feeling, most well balanced guitar i have ever owned, and the Floyd Rose Professionalstays in perfect tune under any conditions.

Amps...i just use one. Actually, i have two identical Dsl40c's, setup the same. Pedalboard, no changes, no additions.

I like that my rig is simple. I used to get hung up on my gear, or neck widths and the like. Now, i just concentrate on playing... :-)
