What Happened to Gibson Guitars?

Then I find guys like this who mention the early copies being better than the Gibson/EPI Chinese/Indonesian wherever ones.

SOme folks just want a NEW guitar--

they dont want to deal with REVERB (or even KNOW about it) and they arent going to roll the dice on a "vintage" Greco--

for that matter get a 162.00 CHinese (current lawsuit) LEster by -- epoiphone with gibson headstock BUWAHAHAHAHAH

OR here is a NOVEL Idea---- get a PEAVEY USA MADE vintage guitar---- for the price of a USED EPIPHONE ---- and basically flick a finger at the Guitar Manufacturing Establishment as a whole ;)

Chili I know where a Peavey Fury "P" bass is RIGHT NOW -- usa made vitnage -- 179.00 --- that is short $ -- for a USA made 90's era Bass...

Whatever it is he is going to do, I think Mark Agnesi will be an asset to Gibson. He is very knowledgeable and has experience in front of the camera. I think the position was created especially for Agnesi, so I'm guessing he will be pretty visible in the guitar community in the years to come. I've been watching the "Guitar of the Day" show from Norman's Rare Guitars for a long time, and he seems like a cool dude.

OLD ?? early 40's --- I wish I was back in my early 40's!

ANd yes I agree the "titles" are ridiculous-- we used to do that at the ad agency as opposed to giving raises to the new recruits/interns etc.

Director of Colombian Imports (she got the coffee) --- etc.

As a old git in his early 40s, I have a lot of trouble understanding the titles younger people give themselves in business these days, like "Director of Brand Experience".

Anyone who calls themselves a "Brand Evangelist" deserves to be shot....
But, but, but, Brand Ambassador, Brand Evangelist etc. apparently sounds SO much more important than «sales representative»!!!

To be fair, its unlikely that he chose his own title. Plus, I know the man and have bought guitars from him, and he is pure class and will be a benefit to Gibson.
