I'm no fan of some of the changes that Hank brought our way over the last decade or so, but you do have to give credit where it's due, and we might not even be talking about Gibson today if it wasn't for Hank J and his partners. They literally saved the company from disappearing in 1986, and installed the systems that have ensured that the Gibson of today is building the most consistent product in its entire history.

What derailed HJ was his quest to turn Gibson into a lifestyle brand and his insistence on pushing technology that actual guitar players didn't want. Luckily for all of us, the core guitar-making business seems to have remained quite sound and Henry's legacy is that we have incredible quality instruments for the new management to refocus into designs we all want to buy.

DAMN IT -- why you gotta go and make "SENSE:" of things -- cant I hate on Henry ---just a little?
 
How about they lower the FREAKIN' price of their guitars which I find way over the top. There are other companies out there that build better quality guitars for less the price...c'mon James Curly...gives us a break!:facepalm:
