What do Ya think?

I have a Boss pedal tuner I can see very well. I have some clip on tuners, a Peterson but the damn thing spinning around get weird. I can't see it that well so I got a big desk model tuner. A Peterson that I put on a stool near me on stage. I also have it at home most often and the orange color is very nice and easy to see.

Roadie Automatic Guitar Tuner | Band Industries

Not sure my self but it looks interesting at least.

WOW a device on your knee (iPhone), and a device turning the strings (Roadie).
Next thing down the road, you may be able to do it with only one device ... The iPhone with tuner app on your knee and possibly use your fingers to turn the tuner knobs. I know it's futuristic but we must dream ;-)

HAHAHA didn't say it made sense, just thought it was interesting. Actually though, when I first saw it before watching the video, I thought maybe the roadie had the sound detection built into it. That would had been cooler.

get a used set of Gibson Robotuners :)

I already have a used set that I bought from Chris. Waiting to go on my SG.

I agree, I don't mind the robot tuners on my SG but still coming to terms with the inability to turn the knobs myself.
A Roadie with all required built into it would give both options.

You can turn your tuning keys, just not when the Robotuners are active

Later today I'll have time check out your comment.
I understood (possibly incorrectly) turning Gibson G Force tuners would damage the internals.
If you're correct, the Roadie is a complicated similar product with no advantage over G Force other than ability to be used on multiple guitars.

I believe they turn the OPPOSITE direction of normal tuners.

So as long as the lights are off (ie turned off, G Force not engaged) you are sure manual tuning is OK?
BTW, I can't see any reason to manual tune as the system seems to work very well.

To my mind that's ambiguous.
He says you can't use a "peg winder" it's too fast for the 40:1 ratio.
So ... if turned off could you use a peg winder slowly? The real question I'd like nailed down, can you fine tune with your fingers ( when turned off)?

Yes I have done it on my LP JR. the device mentioned in the video can exert too much force on the internal gears which are somewhat small and delicate.
I have tuned by hand on mine . . . I said that already didn't I.

"I said that already didn't I", yep, you sure did and thanks.
I'm just a VERY cautious type with my gear and was hoping 20 other people would have joined in confirming such ;-)

Stringing a guitar is not an art. You do need a bit of technical ability and toss in one tea spoon of Zen. Like motorcycle repair. Look at the place you are and were you want to be. Not hard but many just don't get it and that's the tech stuff you have no clue about. Imagine the sound of your guitar with new strings. Now combine both your lack of every physical and spiritual relationship to guitar.
Think about it all as you clean the fret board of gross dead skin, oil and the embarrassment that built up. Try again tomorrow kid and remember it all happened for a reason.
