My 2 of 12 early Fender custom shop I traded a Parker Night Fly for it had a broken truss rod put a Mary Kay 1989 maple neck first
then a real 1960 neck killer

Been playing the Monterey Strat to bond with it. Even though it was previously owned by a collector, he seemed to spend a lot of time on the set up and pickup heights. This thing sounds and plays great. I'm really enjoying it.
In fact, it may surprise some of you to know that my Tele Deluxes have, for all intents and purposes, taken over all of the duties' that my Les Pauls used to fill. They can be just as heavy-sounding but are more articulate and more versatile. I am actually thinking about buying another because this blueburst one lives at my office and I would like to have one with a rosewood 'board at home with the maple-board one.
