What are you playing today

I've been playing my Tele for a few days now. I got a new bridge pickup for it.

At first I was really disappointed with it because I expected it to be more of a beast than it is, but now that I've accepted it as just a Tele bridge pickup and quit trying to get 'P90' out of it it's fantastic! It pairs really well with the Pure Vintage '64 neck pickup I already had in it. I would highly recommend it.

Playing the bass guitar is quite addictive.
I've known all along my primary stringed instrument should have been the bass. I played low brass in band (trombone). I sing bass. I can read the bass clef staff on sight.... treble clef I have to think about for a moment. When I'm humming along with a song more often or not I'm humming the bass line or making up a bass line. Oh well..... it is what it is. ;)

Nice. Kinda makes me wish I had ordered the Zencaster’s ebony fretboard without dots.

Had the house to myself for a bit. Thought I'd plug into real amps rather than the GT1 and headphones. Still seem to be playing both the bass and the strat. I think the other guitars are starting to get lonely.

First up was plugging the bass into my kid's bass amp. didn't get too crazy... but if it wasn't glued down, I had it buzzing.

Followed this up by plugging the strat into first the Fender and then the Traynor. Plugged into both direct. No pedal board. As suspected. The Traynor sounds way better than the Fender. Besides 5w vs 20w.... thinking the single 12' in the Traynor is just better than the 8" in the Fender. Only had the Traynor on 3. Played a bit with the Treble/Bass for tone. After messing around clean, I cranked the guitar to 10.... leaving the amp on 3. Did get a bit of breakup up but mainly it just got loud. Really loud. That kinda surprised me considering the Vol on the amp was pretty low.
