What a beauty !!A bit of the “Beantown Boom-Stick” today…experimenting with feeding the Ampeg Micro CL preamp out to another tube power amp, and on to push another cab. It works pretty well, actually. Nothing super impressive, but it makes for a little fun.

Actually being MV i can get it at exact kick level. Also & man did i learn something. The drive knob adds just a bit but it adds upper transients & harmonics that just jump right out. I dont play dirt on bass & why i use SVT's only is that they are just organic & huge . notes bloom & when you have that never want to mask with dirt.That ought to destroy some hair follicles.

I agree on the 61's. My Classic is the "One"Pretty much the same thing I've played everyday since I put the 61s back in my Standard. Even tho I can't stand the covers, these have become my favorite pickups. I can't get enough of this rig.
