What are you GAS-ing for?

I think I’m good for a long while. Grabbed an ES-335 on Monday. Tonight I picked up two Celestion G12M-20 and two G12H-30 Anniversary speakers for my empty DST Engineering 4x12 cabinet. Tomorrow night, I can wire the cab and try it out. It should work out with a 50 watt head. I’ve read mixed reviews on that combination. I like each on their own, so we’ll see.

Maybe JJ junior??

I've been real antsy about this lately.

I remember when I "accidentally" bought my Dean V.

You know what? That's actually a really killer guitar. I haven't played it in over a year.
You know why?
LRT decided he really liked that guitar...
I decided LRT does good work when he plays that guitar...
It might as well be LRT's ficking guitar at this point.....that's ok with me.....

BUT

I'm getting very "antsy" about a JJ.

It won't work unless LRT also chooses a smaller amp....

But with our big Marshalls, we find our best volumes at around...2 or 3....
We're not even pushing the amps to their potential.....
If we BOTH ran smaller heads..

Dammit. Beer again.

I might not keep it, it depends on if it'll be loud enough or not. I'm sure gonna try.
Could be that it leaves me wanting the full size, but I just can't justify $4k for an amp....right now
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is small to midsize tube amps
I have a few in the 15-22 watt range. They’ve all gigged out successfully. They can push some air around when using the big cab’s. Instead of playing with the volume on 2 or 3, you may find yourself around 4 to 6.
Clean headroom can be lacking depending on the design, but I get the impression that’s not an issue for you guys.
Good luck!(y)

Thanks dude, I'm excited as hell for it. As long as it's loud enough I think I'll really love this one.

Ive been cruising the 1-20 watt range (happily) for some time now --- so many tones so many choices.......so CHEAP really --- well ........ Ive suddenly come over all peckish for a Jackson or ibanez thin little whisp of a shredder with 24 frets (the ONLY thing my SA Ibanez is missing is a couple frets......) not sure why .......Im playing the SA and its passing .... but still ..........

need to find someone looking for a trade.........I have some things in the trade bin --- just saying
