What are you doing right now?

What's a bus?
Going to work, oh you mean a car or bike?
It's like a really long car with lots of people in it. Some people ride a short bus, but they are probably not going to work.

Walking or the bus for me. Lately I have had trouble with my right knee (removed part of a damaged meniscus a few years back), so I've caught a bus some mornings. I always walk home, and when I start brewing at 05.00 there are no buses so I walk. I don't have a car, and riding a bike to work would be too much of a hassle (a couple of hills that are so steep I wouldn't get up on a bike, or choose a different route that would take me twice as long). The brewery is a 35 minute walk from my house, 30 minutes back. Not bad at all.

Just showered, and having a last look at TTR before I head off for work. Looks like the weather will be OK - a nice 8C (46F) today. My drive is 35 minutes, and as I live in London and work outside, the traffic is all headed the other way. I've never understood people who want to live where there is nothing, then spend their time where all the action is, but missing it because they are working. Odd.

A nice way of looking at it! I prefer little action where I live. I lived in the middle of town for 12 years (Bergen is not as action packed as London, though...), but I really enjoy the quiet area where I live now. And it's not like i live in the boonies; 14 minutes on the bus (which runs every 10 minutes) and I'm in the city centre. But being busy with the kids most of the time I don't have time to take much advantage of what the city has to offer anyway.

Spending the Australia Day weekend in a hotel in the city.
Just had a swim, a burger and a glass of red wine.
Just finished watching Australia bowl England out in the cricket (we better win this one!) and later on I’ll walk down to the river and watch the fireworks (along with a couple of hundred thousand others!)

Just got finished practice on my amazing new guitar... Agile AS 820 Gold. This semi-hollowbody really plays hell on my back though. It's not heavy but I get in an awkward position to hold and play this thing. I may have to try a different strap length.
Yeah, you'll figure it out. Diff strap positions, different you positions, take the cat out of it . . .

Washing the pasta/marinara sauce off my face. For some reason, this cough syrup that says take for pain made me pass out in my dinner. A small price.
AND watching YT about MY possible NGD Agile 2000-yay, bro !!

Some of us can half assed multi-task. It's a given I'm sitting here taking abuse !! :D Dinner and drugs is 'struth. Do I have to add the cocktail? What about lying by omission??

Cheers mate.
Time for a quiet beer. Feel free to open one yourself.
I will, I just have to brew 2400 liters of it first!

We are having an open brewery night today, expecting 200 people to come along. I'll definitely crack open a couple. We were supposed to have a gig with the band here tonight as well, but I've had a nasty cold for the last couple of weeks and I'm not able to sing a single note, so playing is off. I'm a bit pissed, really, because I was really looking forward to it.

Good luck with the open night and hope you feel better soon.

I remember reading the liner notes in the ‘70’s of a very popular Aussie band of the time’s greatest hits album.
Apparently when they were scheduled to go into the studio the singer had the ‘flu with a very sore throat. They decided to go ahead with the recording session but not until the singer had got stuck into the beer. Apparently once he was well drunk he was able to sing and laid down his vocals in a couple of takes!!!

Sweet!!!!

I try to play at least 2 hours every night, not counting giving my kid's their nightly lessons.

So, I just finished going over some recording software specs with an eye towards getting my PC based "Audacity" recording platform up and running at last. I am ordering a USB compatible microphone pre-amp, microphone, headphones, cables, Microphone Stand, Screen, etc.

I also decided on this attenuator after a lot of research:

MASS Lite 100w Attenuator
Have a Vegemite sandwich, that will kill the flu.
Sounds like it mite kill YOU.

Can I ask you a question? Good. As a beginning beginning "player", I know I want to learn to play some slide; also, I would like to know about finger picking. I like blues, rockabilly, etc. I asked a 30 year player if I should start out fingering, but he said stick to the pick, finger picking has too many variations and would be more difficult for you. I want to know everything I can the correct way first, so I don't have to learn the correct way over again !! I am a huge fan of Bonnie Raitt (hero status), and you've probably seen I like Bruuuce. Can't forget the R&R-I asked him if I should be studying Raitt first, because her stuff is what I want to do, or Springsteen. He said Bruuuce because he's more simplistic (his words). I watched him do some killer solos, but I'm starting to realize he plays 3rd guitar, after Lofgren and vanZandt. What is your opinion on this crap, if I may ask? Meanwhile, I have been studying the crap out of theory. Save me, somebody !! Thank you very much. You're lucky I haven't thought of your nickname yet. Everyone gets one, like *****EDITED******.

Too bad two beers is exactly what it takes for me to forget every single song lyric I have ever kown!:(

Last night when I first encountered this thread, I was laying in bed, reading the OP for the thread, and getting ready to pull up my tried-and-true, help-me-get-to-sleep song:

"In A Gadda Da Vida", by Iron Butterfly.

This one right here. I get this playing and put earbuds in my ears with the lava lamp beside my bed glowing away, and I'll be out halfway through the drum solo!
