What Are You Doing Right Now?

No one really knows who Poop Knife is. He just showed up one day. And it's been a running story line since.

Okay.... actually, I believe he is the alter ego of a TTR member in good standing. And that's all I'll say.
Whomever he may be......he makes me lol. Alter ego you say?. Good grief! Dealing with my own singular ego is already difficult enough for me and everyone else to contend with. Yes?

Today I spent the morning with our new Principal (we just hired for next year)
We sat at a teacher recruiting job fair that was hosted at my old university Northern Arizona. There were just over 100 schools there.
It was nice meeting her and getting to know her and teaching her all about our school.

Today did something I’d never done before.

Few months ago found out I had a B12 deficiency. Y’all know what that means. B12 shots. First couple I got from a nurse in the drs office…. Who showed my wife how to administer. She did the next few. She’s in FL…. So you guessed it. Had to give myself the shot today. Those of you that have been giving yourself insulin for years are going…. No big deal. Easy Peasy. And you’d be right. It was no big deal. Needles and shots don’t bother me. In my lifetime I’ve donated around 7 gallons of blood…. And that needle hurts a bit. My thing is. I can’t watch them stab. I can look at the needle dangling out of my vein when donating… just not while the nurse is plugging me in.

All that to say. Didn’t really know how’d I’d do stabbing myself. Twas nothing. Fortunately, it’s only once a month, not daily.

I got my LP Traditional ready to sell tonight. Since I got my Tribute back I don't need it anymore because I prefer to play my Tribute. Turns out I was only in love with the look of it anyway. Even though I got used to the fatter neck, I just can't play it as well as I can a thinner neck, there are things my fingers just won't do and it's frustrating. So, I put a spare set of Wolfetone pickups in it since I stole the JWPs to put in my Tribute, cleaned it up, oiled the fret board and put new strings on it. I think I'm going to turn it into to a P90 LP of some sort, hopefully the P90 70s Tribute they had on the rack at GC the other day when I went in for some strings, but I didn't play it so I don't know yet. If it works out I'll have a new P90 geetar along with some cash in my pocket. :fingersx:

Hey Don, ( @Thatbastarddon ) I'm finally getting around to fixing that T-nut!

We've had a lot of storms and rain in our corner of the world. SE Wisconsin and NE Illinois. Enough that the two local rivers have flooded. The Des Plaines River and The Fox River. The Fox is the one we live closest to.

So was not home over the weekend. Came home to find our street flooded. Happened in 2013. Happened again in 2017. And then happening as I type. Happen to still have a photo from 2013 and then the one I took yesterday. So far our big boat SUV is having no problem with the water. No way I'd try my Civic. Oh... and 2017 was considerably deeper. Fun fact. This is the only street in and out of our neighborhood. There isn't a back door. Fun times.

PS: For those worried. Our house and our neighbors houses all sit high and dry and aren't directly affected. by the rising water.

Wow! you must be really deficient. My Dr. says mine is low, he says this is nothing unusual for my age , i take a tablet 1,000 mg each day, to bring it up to speed.

I live near the river, they say it’s going to be one of the worst years, though the rains in the last few days were not has bad as forecasted. Haven’t had a chance to take my bike and check thing out, pic from 2024.

My thyroid is messed up as well. Inherited that problem from my mom. I think that may have affected the B12. And yes. It was quite low. We’ll check back with the Dr after a few months of shots and with any luck I can switch to tablets.

We used to live about 20 miles from the Mississippi River. It would get quite impressive when it flooded.

Mowed the part of the yard that was actually growing. First time of season. Not sure I’ve ever had to mow in April.
I’ve got to make ready for that too…it does seem a bit early here too. I mowed it down low, low, low, back in October/November, but it’s lookin’ pretty shaggy here.
