Today I got it done!
I Punched my Coues deer tag!

This species is only found in NM and AZ. They are very small, sleek, and live in the most rugged, difficult, and secluded places they can. Cactus, rocks, stickers, cat claw, and elevation!
I shot this "pretty good" buck at 400 yards this morning across a canyon with my ol Savage 110 in 7 Rem Mag.

A trophy scores between 90 and 100 inches. Some of the largest ones can score up to 130 inches or so.

I shot him in the bottom of a huge canyon, took me an hour to process amd skin him, and 2 hours and an immeasurable amount of grit, determination, and energy to pack the whole thing out by myself. (With all my gear as well)

I am whooped!

Right now I'm resting with a Handful of aspirin and Aleve while icing my knees and a hot pad on my back.... I feel accomplished.
Got the meat to the processor, washed my bloody pack and clothes, showered myself up....

This is my 4th Coues buck to date.

Well yesterday was the 2nd day of my vacation. Not a Cheech and Chong reference.

I went over to the car wash to clean up my old 2000 GMC Sierra. $3 x 4 to get all the stuff growing on it off. It’s a part of living in the Willamette Valley. I think they named it that because long ago someone said _ _ _ dam _ it , it never stops drizzling. Moss grows on everything.

Since I have owned this truck, it has been neglected. A couple weeks ago I put tires on it.
Yesterday I took over to replace the windshield at Al’s Auto Glass. Great guy, did a good job. So I ordered some trim parts and seat foam and base. It needs a bunch of other work. I forgot to say I have 4 gas hogs and a Yaris. lol
2 trucks run , 2 are projects or one for parts.
